My big thing right now is to make willow skeins or willow splinters. Willow bark baskets I have made for several years. Every spring I harvest bark from different trees in the forest and since I grow willow, the bark is easy to come by. I always use bark from trees that are at least 2-5 years old.

It cost more sweat, tears, blood and swearing than actually money. These baskets are made with split 2 year old willow for bystakes.
